Year 3 Science: How does an object move on different surfaces?

This week, Year 3 have been planning a fair test to investigate how a car moves on different surfaces: a wooden table, the carpet and some gravel. We predicted that the car would need the greatest amount of force (a pull) to move on the gravel because it’s bumpy and would prevent the car from rolling forwards smoothly. After testing our car on each of the three surfaces, we concluded that our predictions were correct!
